The QA Navigation Collaboration Manager

In a common network all tools of the QA Navigation SLM have access to a common data base. But the QA Navigation SLM also allows it to collaborate independent from a common network, but still within the same Campaign.

All parts which are needed plan and prepare a test can composed independently from a common network. Each part of a test (Test Case, Test Scenario, Test Set, Test Campaign) can be exported separately and the exported files can be imported into any other QA Navigation SLM database, to be integrated to one or more Campaigns.

To execute a Campaign on systems which are isolated from each other, the Collaboration Manager provides functions, which initiate all necessary steps with a single click. All data relevant for the Test Campaign are exported. The bundle of data may then be then be transferred, for instance in an e-mail. On the target computer these files are then imported with the help of the according function of the Collaboration Manager. While working with the Campaign special mechanism ensure that common data can not be changed, which would result in inconsistent data.

When exporting the Campaign again and re-importing it to the original system the data are merged together and the results from the execution of on the remote systems and become visible in the Campaign Manager.
