The Test Case Executor

The Test Case Executor is the application where the prior written Test Cases are executed. The Test Cases listed in the Test Case dialog are by default the Test Cases assigned to him. The parameter of the test execution like date, time and duration of the test are captured automatically. If an error was detected during the tests the tester is automatically directed to the reporting tool, the Report Manager (more...). The report panel is then preset with the data available from the Test Case. If the Test Case was unambiguously described, there are no further entries to be made, to ensure reproducibility of the test case.

The separation of Test Case data and test execution data allows it to re-use the once written Test Cases over and over again and thus make use of the investment of once writing the Test Cases throughout the entire life cycle it the software.
